​      Hello!! My name is Katie Darin, and I am the 7th grade homeroom teacher and the 6-7-8 English teacher.  I graduated from Grand Valley State University where I majored in English/Language Arts and minored in Elementary Education. I have been teaching for 12 years (11 of those years have been as a middle school teacher here at St. Joseph School)! My husband Nick and I met in high school and have been married since 2012. We have 2 children, Enzo and Leo, who are both students at St. Joe's! Our family also includes two rather large felines, Alvin and Zorro. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy crafting, home improvement projects, searching for treasures at flea markets, and watching my kids play baseball/hockey/football/soccer/golf!
