St. Joe's Math Curriculum

 

First graders make objects in math using plane shapes. 
Second graders have been learning about fractions.
The second graders are learning their addition facts using dice.
 Sorting, counting and comparing Skittles is fun when you get to eat them when you're done!
First graders practice graphing by making Halloween candy pictographs.
Grade one practices math on their brand new whiteboards!

Third grade works on making groups of 1,000 - that's 100 groups of 10.

Kindergartners explore tangrams.

Spinning spinners helped first graders learn about probability.

Second graders are using dice to practice their addition facts!


Third graders work with pictographs and bar graphs.


Kindergartners spent their 100th school day counting from 1-100 in both English and in Spanish!

They also built castles and puzzles out of 100 pieces.


Grade 1 is busily trying to write place value as expanded notation. 


Third graders make gallon guys using: 1  gallon, 2 half gallons, 4 quarts, 8 pints, and 16 cups!

The fourth grade is measuring items in our classroom using the units of the metric system. We are learning how to convert from one unit to another.
