Our Student Council is sponsoring a loose change challenge in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society which raises money in honor of local children with cancer. Donations are accepted from February 6th - February 17th. The class earning the highest collection average will win an Olive Garden lunch! Learn more!


Back by popular demand - it's St. Joe's Spirit Wear! New items are available, including fleece jackets, newly designed sweatshirts, and much more. Sales will be running until May 1st and items will be on display mornings from 7:30 to 8:00 a.m., and afternoons from 2:30 to 3:00 p.m. Download an order form!


The St. Joseph Basketball Season Schedule is now online.

For our Lenten outreach project, we will be collecting items to donate to St. Aloysius in Detroit. Students will bring in their designated items to Mass on Fridays during lent. The Lenten Collection Schedule is online.


And the winners of our Catholic Schools Week Classroom Door Decoration Contest? Grade 1 and Grade 5 - Way to go, and a job well done by all!


Our third grade class has been awarded Second Place overall within the Archdiocese of Detroit for Achievement in Catholic Culture based on recent religion Iowa Test scores. Congratulations third graders and Mrs. Reed!

Congratulations to our third graders, Joseph Cappellino and Maria Ritchie, and fifth grader Matthew Silka for outstanding scores. These students received certificates for earning 100% correct on all parts of the Iowa Testing Religion component.

Way to go!


Basketball Slam Fundraising is coming soon! Over $1,500 in prizes will be awarded. Be sure to get your tickets in by March 15th.


We are pleased to announce that on Monday, March 5th the Michigan Department of Attorney General Cyber Safety Team will be visiting our school. Customized presentations will be given to all of our kindergarten through eighth-grade students. Age appropriate information will be discussed on topics ranging from guarding personal identity information to the importance of responsible online behavior. Watch for more information coming home as the date approaches.

Help Drive Dollars to St. Joe's! Ford Motor Company is teaming up with Box Tops for Education!

 Learn about some easy ways to help earn money - as well as how to enter the Ford Box Top sweepstakes! 


If you are volunteering to work with our students in any capacity, you must attend a Protecting God's Children Workshop.  A certificate verifying session completion must be on file with our School Office. Sessions can be found online at the Archdiocese website.

For the safety of our students, it is imperative that we follow the school's drop-off policy. Please review and adhere to these procedures.

In order to assist our junior high students in understanding math concepts, St. Joseph School purchased an online subscription to HotMath.com. Students have access to HotMath from both home and school Learn more!

It is imperative that we have current parental contact information. Please be sure to inform us if you have a change of address or phone throughout the school year.

 
Our school was featured in a historical article in the  IHM Sisters eNews as the school of the month. Did you know that when St. Joseph School opened in 1948, lingering shortages from World War II meant teachers had no blackboards, book shelves or even doors for the classrooms! Read more!
